Managing user data

Managing user data involves running configuration tasks to update or extend your user registry after the initial installation and deployment. Learn how to remove attributes that you need to update, add database user registries, configure property extension (lookaside) databases, and perform various other tasks to maintain your user registry.

Managing user data involves modifying several properties files located in the wp_profile_root directory. As best practice, you should back up this directory before proceeding with any tasks in this section.

Clustered environments: If you perform any of the following tasks after you set up your clustered production environment, you must run an additional task to update the security settings on the secondary nodes; see Enabling LDAP security after cluster creation for instructions.
